Hey, guys. i'm having trouble mixing channels on my DX3R so that my throttle servo actually functions to use my mechanical brakes on the 3rd channel so that I can use the Tekno electriclutch on my converted RC8T. I have absolutely no idea what to do. can anyone explain exactly what I need to do on my DX3R in order for me to get my mech. brakes working?
thanks all

run a y harness and use it to connect the servo and esc together and then just set up your mechanical brakes ... the clutch will let the motor stop but the clutch allows the mechanical brakes to do the job.

but wouldnt using a y harness put extra strain on the servo because the radios endpoints should be set at full throw. using a third channel on the receiver allows you to fine tune the amount of braking power with the endpoint as well (something you cant do using a y harness). i prefer using a pinion over a clutch anyways. much more precise throttle driving low speed, & without an extra servo in the way i can mount my esc & reciever up there.

man i dunno, we got like 6 guys running the tekno conversions. they are all settin em up with a y harness, personally i run the associated conversion and a pinion too ... i also like the drivability and control a pinion gives.
