Fitting a larger RX pack...

I've got a Matrix Arena TR and I want to use a 6-volt pack...

Are there any 5 cell packs which will fit in the battery box alongside the reciever? Not sure what style I need to get, flat, hump, etc...

Thanks.

Fiveoboy01, you are limited to 6v hump packs only. Any brand 5 cell hump pack you get will fit in there with alot if room left.
Since most 6v 5C packs comes standard with Futaba J type plug, and the harness on the Arena accepts the BEC type plug you can use this adapter if you don't want to cut and soldier any wires together. Personally, I think it looks alot neater and easier using this adapter.

I use hump packs made with intellect cells. The price is cheap and they perform excellent.

Same exact pack....

Here is a picture with a Venom 1200mah 6v hump pack I use for practice.

As you can see there is alot of extra room in there. I use some tire foam to pad the battery.

Also are you looking for something in particular? Like extended run time (2300, 2700 or 3000 Mah batteries), Lighter weight (Li-Po's), cheap price (1000 or 1200 Mah batteries)? I run the bigger capacity 2300 and 2700 Mah batteries because I am using really powerful digital servos that use a lot of juice in my race Buggy/Truggy. In my REVO I run a 1600 Mah pack which is fine for Bashing.

Well not really, I was more concerned about getting the extra voltage because the servos in my truck aren't meeting my standards. I just picked up a 1600 6.0v OFNA hump pack at the LHS yesterday, now when my replacement front lower suspension arm comes in that I broke, I can test it out and see what the improvement is... But I'm guessing I'm going to be putting in a different steering servo... As well as replacing all the radio equipment anyways...
