HB Lightning 2-speed Conversion...
 

I've got a HB Lightning GT, and only bash, and have heard these urban myths that you can put a 2-speed in it....

Is this true?? Any info or links would be greatly appreciated....

ps I'm also thinking about putting the HPI polished pipe on it. Should this make a difference?? The stock pipe is this weird oil-can like thing...

Answered the 2nd part of my question...:

Well, even though I'm just talking with myself(cuz nobody else seems to own one of these I guess...), I just found the answer to the pipe question.. Very nice upgrade in performance(and noise..) Much better acceleration, top speed not too different that I can tell, and starts and runs much better. Great, simple upgrade for me...

Possibly looking less good for the LST2...

I have the same car, but no 2 speed. why dont you try the HPI Savge 2 speed. that might fit

I've sure with some handy work you could get the TTR 2-speed kit to fit.

LOL, a savage 2-speed? Just don't say anything else is all I can say. :eek:

I am not sure that HB came out with a 2-speed conversion kit, but if you can find the measurements of the 2-speed itself, and your center diff mounts, I am sure you can get one from another car to fit, such as the TTR one.

I HAVE heard before that the HB 2-speed from their onroad car WILL fit. You just need it and the right clutch bell. That's what I've heard anyway.. I've just never actually heard from somebody who did it, and if it really is THAT simple..

The Cyclone is their on-roader, right?? I think that was it..

i would looking into the dimentions of the OFNA 2 SPEED for buggys try to find a shop that has it in stock and see if it will fit...........only problem is that here in the US its cost 100 bucks NIB............in germany it probably costs an arm and leg............
