RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
blew another diff at the state race yesterday, also had battery problems in the starter boxes. all around a busy wrenching day and trying to find a box solution. truck drove great when it was out there.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
YOu blew the bevel or rear diff? What box you using? I am using the Ofna 10246.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
ORIGINAL: erik66 never mind guys i thought its fine I thought it wen't into fail safe but id didnt my servo arm was lose :( lol but got engine going pretty good its a jammin .28 but when I hit jumps it likes to stay reved up... so tires rotate and it pulls is the idle set a bit to high? you need to seal your carbs endbell...not wanting to idle down on jumps is a leaky endbell.....the seam between the composite body and the metal end cap can leak...I have posted this fix a dozen times I am surprised nobody in this thread has offered you any advice on this..... |

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
J Blaze do you use the spider center diff or did you swap it out and put a standard in?
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
standard hyper 7, 46 tooth, 13 bell. the screws in the front were loose the first time then i rushed the second set in there not knowing how much time i had before the main, which wasn't much. i got it put together, slapped on some tires and was next to run, i had the buggy qualifier a bit before then, marshaling duties and then starter box hunting for the mains. i was gonna redo the diffs this week anyways to try something lighter for the next state race next month. if you look at my profile in rcsignup you'll see my race days always end in dnf's. poor maintenance on my part. the funny part is when i take the truck out to practice i can run all day. when race day comes and i check and recheck everything i can't get 10 minutes out of it. coincidence?

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Hi,
Im trying to install craddocks on my ST and Im having a couple of problems. I have new metal pads and when I put them in the disc catches on the containment loop underneath and does not hang straight down. I tried putting spacers in (between the pad and the diff housing) so the disc is vertically straight in the middle of the loop, but then its too far away from the cam. What am i doing wrong? Should I just get rid of the containment loop? Cheers, A |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Someone help please!!?!?! [sm=confused.gif]
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Honestely from my side, I have no idea, Mine just dropped in there no problems [sm=confused.gif]
Why dont you try and get rid of the containment loop and give it a try.? Tho I just used the stock pads, read my post 2 pages back. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Could you take some close up pics please Qaiz?
The disc is alot closer to the diff due to the pad material not being there, so doesnt hang straight and it catches the loop. Did you leave your loop in? What is the purpose of the loop? |
