Racing Tires

hey just wondering what all you racers or anyone that has these think of either the proline 40s bowtie LP
or the crime fighters 40s

RE: Racing Tires

Which vehicle do you have? Also what kind of track do you run on? I would stick with LPR's if you want the most modern wheels. Usually 40's are to large for truggy gearing.

RE: Racing Tires

You never want to run 40 series tires on any truggy. They are like a inch too wide and tall, stick with the new LPR tires or MT style tires.

Yes it is, however you won't see any jail time usually just a fine and maybe some community service.

RE: Racing Tires

understandable but i dont have a truggy as persay its a cross of trucks to make a truggy style
and then if you say the lpr's then ill go with them just thought they might give me some more trackin
but you guys never made a choice on the bowties or the crime fighters??

ericem 01-15-2008 04:27 PM

RE: Racing Tires

Crimefighter's seem to perform better then bow ties. What kind of track??!!

Holeshots might be a better choice. Either 3 will work fine to be honest.

I was lookin at those i couldnt find them in the LPR though
thanks but i dont know such a hard choice
I think i migh have to go with the holeshots maybe but i think the bow-ties might be a bit better
but what can i say havent ran either of them

RE: Racing Tires

Waiting for my holeshots. I heard the holeshots stick to anything. Having many tiny spikes I guess is better.

dude i love the hole shot tires, they stick like velcro. i used mine with the suplyed foam in them before i put the diff oil and they didnt balloon solid all the way through the power band and with the xtm 28 in it.

would the lpr tyres fit the rims that come with the hyper st pro? with those holeshots they look like they wouldnt last very long, are there any that mite b a longer lasting substitute?

Of course they won't fit. They're made for low profile rims. LPR rims run between $11-14 for a pair so what's the big deal?

chrobar 01-16-2008 10:56 AM

RE: Racing Tires

They will also fit on Losi 8t rims. I'm still waiting for the new LPR panther switches to come out...

grp performance tires are good for a hard surface and come pre mounted in different sizes for all kinds of trucks and truggies.

there's no big deal , i just prefer the look of the rims that come with the truggy.
