Noob First try.....

I`m a noob and my next statement will proove it. I finally tested my truggie in my basement for about 20 seconds and learned that these things are stupidly fast. It`s too cold outside in alberta.I Didn`t want to get the servos wet in the snow. Question do you need the glowplug heater on the engine to start it everytime or should it start once the engine is hot. It was a 20 second thrill I know now why so many people get into the rc world. It`s a blast even if it is only 20 seconds..................

If you want a 2 speed and reverse on a truggy you purchased the wrong R/C, IMO you need a monster truck. :D

Nah Swamp3r, we all have to start somewhere.

FIRSTLY you NEVER start your Nitro Truck indoors, exhaust gasses = NOT GOOD.

Yes you do need the glow plug heater to start your engine EVERYTIME because even if it's hot, it dosent neccessarily mean that your glow plug is ignited.

And as 2D stated, truggies dont have reverse. 2 speed options are avaliable, but I think you have to rip out your center diff, and IMO a center diff is one of the most important things on any truggy.

And welcome to the RC World :D

Yeah, NEVER light one of these things up indoors!! I was tuning on my buggy a couple of weeks ago in the back room of my business (barber shop) because the weather was too bad to go outside (near white-out conditions). Long story short, I had to open the front and back doors and fan for several minutes on a 20 degree day while the smoke cleared (I had it pretty rich at the time). Luckily I had no customers come in for a while after that due to weather conditions, but even after the smoke cleared it still took a couple of hours for the smell to calm down.

And yes, you must apply the plug ignitor each time you fire the engine.
