Fuel Tubes Function???

Hello, as you note I'm new in this world and I have the following question:

Every Nitro Gas cars I've seen have 2 fuel tubes (1 from tank to carb and 1 from tank to pipe). I only know what does the one from the tank to carb. The other coming from the top of the tank to the exhaust pipe I don't know what it does. I think is for exhaust the air from the tank BUT if I turn the car down the fuel goes thru the tube until get to the pipe, Is that normal? While running it expels some fuel/oil thru the pipe also.

I hope you guys can help me. Thanks!

It pressurizes the fuel system.

Its kind of like a fuel pump.Your pipe creates some back pressure to be pushed through the line to the the top of your tank and pushes your fuel out the tank in your other line to the carb and motor itself. And usually if you are getting unburnt fuel or excess oil coming out of your pipe while running this means your carb needs some full throttle passes to clean the excess fuel out or it is set to rich.

Good post myrc, thx!

Why if I close the Needle Valve it still expels fuel thru the pipe? Is this normal?

Are you breaking in the engine? Engines, during break in, are supposed to be like crazy rich, so it's gonna be shooting fuel out regardless of what you do. Just lean it when you're done breaking it in.
