DUDE THAT VIDEO ROCKS!!! LOL! Joking :D How much torque does that steering servo have. I run the Hitec 5955's with 330oz.

Throttle didn't seem fast, but steering seemed instantaneous [X(]

I second that, set it on the ground, carpet to give to a good work out test.

looks good, I have the same steering servo coming to me for use in my 8ight-t

I was a bit concerned it wasn't going to be good enough, looks like that isn't an issue

I want to see it on the grass or dirt and turn it.

Yeah, I run the 5955, and it's a beast. It can turn the wheels lock to lock on the ground..pretty amazing..and not to mention that it's super fast. You honestly don't need anything faster for steering.

the 5955 is a DOG compared to most servo's in the speed dept.....Plain and simple....Ill say the HS 5985MG is fast....but gets BLOWN outta the water by an Ace on HRS.

I'm not saying that the 5955 is the fastest on the market, I'm just saying that it's plenty fast for any uses, especially steering, imo. You don't need anything faster on steering. I will agree that there are faster servos out there, but I don't need anything faster.

HAH.....U dont Need a faster servo....Get over urself....Maby U dont...but any Pro racer will tell u the faster the better....when entering a shicane or something with Lots of steering adjustments the Faster the Better Plain and simple....Most N00bs to racing find it too fast...but in reality..there just not used to it...but u can always turn down the ST speed and turn it back up when needed......

Now for the Jammin .21 its a Rockin mill when modded.....in buggy it would do fine unmodded...but slap it in a truggy and some 1 who's used to a Honkin .28 as i was....and the unmodded version just didnt cut it.....but at the canadian Nats alll of team jammin were runnin .21's in there truggy's and cleaned House....but there Pro's with Uber Smoooth lines....but still....with the couple little issues with the motor...the overall power makes up for it....they idle great....Awsome top end...decent bottom and all around Great motor....id reccomend 1....but if its goin in a Old X1 Crt...i would think twice....and maby consider something a little bigger...like a .25 or somethin.

I agree with integra I see people say look how fast my servo is and they jiggle it back and forth like 10degres.. and its fast oOOooOo AHhh who cares it can turn 10 degress kinda quick, Lock your wheels left then lock them right, then we will talk about fast, I want to be able to have my wheels locked right then locked left instantanously, I want 0.00000 scan time.
You read the specs .10 secs in 60degrees well from full right to full left is more then 60degrees of turning..

But your steering was pretty quick with no load, throttle seemed a little slow.. but youtube kinda sucks sometimes for showng speed.. skips alot of frames

:Dthanks for the info and heads up on the jammin .21, but i was thinking baout getting it for my buggy, but amain is out of stock right now. maybe goin for the v-spec

I have a video on a carpet.. its pretty much the same...

I forgot about this thread LoL! and I replied a few days late LoL!

I havent run my Jammin yet... just broke in the old fashion way:D run 6 tanks and thats about it;)

oh and yeah the throttle is slow compare to the ones for steering... I need to get another coreless one for my throttle, I only used it for breaking in the engine:eek:

I might sell my Hyper ST here or on Ebay... Im really interested in photography so... Im debating! [:'(]

normally i agree with your posts but this i beg to differ....I've had airtronics on my truck but they eventually went out and now i've got dual hitec 5955's they're just as fast as the airtronics i had on it and on the track i have no problems turning in the tight stuff and actually i quite frequently out turn other people..and don't think it has anything to do with being a noob it's just a preference imo and as the previous poster said it isn't the fastest but i've seen fast guys at many tracks and by fast i mean running in expert class with chad bradley, drake, truhe and holding there own using the servo..

but in accordance with the post all servos look good off the ground take it to the track and test it out for real proof...i have the version under that on my 1/10th and it's lightning quick on there but the car is much lighter and so are the wheels

no trying to combat you in any manner you are knowledgeable but really all i want to say is don't be so harsh on the guy who chooses to run hitec and thinks it suites him well...I don't think that's noob at all i think it's a satisfied customer....

I've been racing for years and I have been using the Hitec titanium servos since they came out and they have proven to be very reliable, very fast and very strong. People at the track are changing over all the time. The customer srevice is the best in the biz...airtronics is the worst for me that is, some people may have had better luck. Another thing about the Hitecs is that I know a guy with the programming module and I can change them to do anything I want them to, as far as speed and torque. Enjoy them Hitecs. I think I'm going to buy the programmer.

I love my Hitec 5955 servos....they have never let me down, they're SUPER powerful and MORE than fast enough(especially in HRS mode:D)
99.9% of racers dont need anything faster..... I know i definently dont want anything faster;)

Bottow line.... the Hitec HS-5955TG servo is one of the best truggy steering servos out there, it's an excellent servo[8D]

RE: "Video" Hitec Coreless Digital steering servo

I agree that some people always want the fastest servos available, but for the average racer, .15 sec for steering is fast enough, imo.
