Which one?
1 Attachment(s)
ok I THINK I want a 1/8 truggy (for like $400)
because I am tired of my tornado breaking I know Redcat is great and all but which is tougher and just all round better ? I want it though and fast;) I am not going to buy it right away but i always like to plan ahead and really look up on what I am getting so vote wisely |
RE: Which one?
oh that would be a hard decision.
racing or bashing? |
RE: Which one?
bashing
|
RE: Which one?
I've heard good things about the ST-1, there's a review on the Monsson on RCU if you're interested though.
|
RE: Which one?
only reason i would go with the redcat is b/c of the parts avalability and the good suport. there basicaly the same truggy;)
|
RE: Which one?
oh can a moderator or somone who has the power to move this thread plz move it to the rc truggy section thanx

RE: Which one?
rtr? sweet man go for it, they're tough as nails! soo fast, fantasic suspension geometery the lot! the engine even has a fair bit of poke!
|
RE: Which one?
but i was just reading the "official" thread for it and it seems like the engine is junk
|
RE: Which one?
oh its junk alright, youll maybe get a gallon out of it tops, and that will be at 350 degrees, but it still gives power at that temp lmaoo.
|
RE: Which one?
I just read a post that said you need to remove the silver shim if your goin to run less than %30
|
RE: Which one?
oh, didnt know that ;). i just burnt the **** outta mine lmaoo. then i got a decent go. mill jammed into her! lol.
|
RE: Which one?
so I take it that you were running less than %30
anyways what engine did you replace it with? and how much was it? |
RE: Which one?
25 lol. at first i put a go tec .28 3p in that i had sitting arround and it was fine, and yesterday i had my first race on my new go .28 6port, boy oh boy does it fly! was beating everything else on speed, shame i cant drive lmaoo.
|
RE: Which one?
oh ok lol
how much $$ would it take for a decent engine? |
RE: Which one?
$200ish gimme a sec and ill fire up a link
|
RE: Which one?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/16332
that will kill anything and everything lol (requires a starter box), you gonna get one/have one? |
RE: Which one?
hmm uhh i have a roto start [:o][:o]
what about those axial engines?? |
RE: Which one?
oh yeh, from what i hear axial are good now, i have no experience so dont hold me to that but i think they're pretty good. i would ask someone else about them first though lol. you really should be ok with the stock engine for a while, guy at my tracks been racing his for 3-4 months now and its holding up fine, i really got more than a gallon out of mine that was exagerating, but you certainly wont make it last forever...
|
RE: Which one?
ohh ok kool because I was starting to think that buy a hyer st would be worst(expensive) than it seemed to be
|
RE: Which one?
it should be good to go out of the box, drop in a 6v battery and a failsafe and your sweet!, oh and some diff oil lol.
|
RE: Which one?
ok soooooon sooooo........I hope lol
I am now just watching some videos on youtube and it seem to be decent |
