The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
Well its coming, and iv'e heard much about it. It looks like its made to go head to head with the CRT.5 and it already has more features such as a body that covers the pipe and support for standard size servos. Disscus.

RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
ORIGINAL: madmax22 Some tracks race them, most let them play around on the tracj and other only 1/10 and 1/8 allowed on the track... I truly hope to see a 1/12 nitro class birth ,they are so much fun, reliable, cheap cost to buy and use, fast and if more manufacturer's get into the game it will only make it more fun and might even make the hobby more low budget than what it is still now. I have run mine for a gallon and since i have it i did not run any of my other car's ,guy's at our track are asking question's all the time and 2 of them allready followed and got CRT5's |

RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
Just got further in the building process.
Been pretty simple for a first time build. havent had any major difficulties. :D Got all the grease out of the diffs and put 7k in the CD and 4k in the front and rears. replaced the stock shock oil with 50 silicone oil. waiting on some kingpin screw to fit the hong nor steering server plate. The hypers is something like the brake linkage :/ also going for 12mm alui hexs. :) http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0087.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0089.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0090.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0091.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0093.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0097.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0099.jpg http://i480.photobucket.com/albums/r.../Photo0101.jpg |
RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
If anyones got any ideas or tips please sure!!
all advice is welcome :) |
RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
i would go to putting lightiger fluid in the back it will help forsho other than that i wonder if theres any iner changeable parts to the crt.5
|
RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
yeh might go down to 2 or maybe 1300 at the back.
i know you can fit the graphite front plate which is one that i want to fit on here! im trying to put the servo saver plate. will keep you updated.........other than that, shock towers dont either fit or the chassis braces. What sort of parts did you want? |
RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
So how many more people have these now?
|
RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
I sold mine.. IMHO they are too fragile for anything but the smoothest of tracks.. Defo fun - very quick and handle great - but not that tough.. I would only recommend one if you have a very well groomed or astroturf or something track.. They're not tough enough for the rough stuff... (how ya like that ryhme?.... )

RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
I have a groomed short course a block away from my house. It is on someones side yard and we sweep it before every use so it is super smooth. I just got one as a little neighborhood cruiser though, something that may be put on enduro tires.

RE: The Official Hyper ST mini Thread
So after almost 5 gallons and a porting job the original engine gave up on me.
Now I am making power with an O.S. 12. Great little pwer plant. Took a little cutting and a mount spacer to make it fit, but what a great little motor. This is still by far my favorite neighborhood basher. |
