TTR .28 backplate
i need a non-pullstart backplate for the stock TTR .28 motor in the ST-1 cause the pull start is driving me crazy... can anyone suggest something on amainhobbies that will fit?
also... i feel that my chrome top starter box doesnt have lots of power... it's plugged on a 14.25V sound system digital capacitor in my car and I turned the engine on once in about 50 tries on my ST-1.... i let it spin for 2 seconds drop it and the electric motor stops spinning even if i put my engine at BDC... any tips? |
RE: TTR .28 backplate
You don't really NEED the blank backplate. Just leave the pullstart. When you push down, push on the engine head, when the engine is hot, I used to push down on the glow ignitor. If that doesn't work look for burn marks on the bottom of the chassis from the wheel rubbing the chassis. Another thing you will probably have to do since it is very tight, actually to start, loosen up the glow plug and see if that works.

if you dont want the the starter box you can use the roto start... the link for the roto start is here: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...oducts_id/5784
