ORIGINAL: telejojo

I have about 8 flights on it and no problems, flys good.
I'm really glad to hear that. It could be that the retracts themselves act to bridge the cut spar. Ijust didn't trust that to happen, and replaced the cutout spar piece.

I just can't imagine a kit builder doing that in the first place. For starters, as Isaid early in this thread, the full scale P-40 gear strut is outside of the wing to maintain the integretyof the spar. That's why the strut has the small half round doors.

NIce job on your model, by the way! Whose retracts didyou use?

The problem with the CMP line was that when they were originally introduced they said "90 to 120 " (example the Spitfire ) then the same "weight" planes new models were introduced at 140 thru 180 suggestions(example P40 ) . I had planned 4 strokes at 180 for all my CMP from 70 thru 75" . Just because I wanted a three blade prop , tons of details so my weight would be on the higher end .
Now going eletric with big Turnegy motors , 120 amp , sierra retracts , about to start my bash any day .
