Default Engine thrust on ziroli planes

A question for anyone who has built and flown a ziroli designed plane, I am in the middle of a ziroli duantless build and im about to start installing the engine. I do not see any down or right thrust in the plans, and am wondering if any is required. It seems odd not to have any, any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Trevor

I have built several Ziroli planes over the years. Typically I do not add any up left/right/up/down thrust, and for the most part have never needed it. But, on occasion, I find it is needed. I wait to see how the plane performs. I have a 10 foot Ziroli Daunltess (see avatar) that did end up needing some down thrust, but no right/left. It tended to climb and require a fair amopunt of elevator down trim before I added the down-thrust. 2 degrees of down and 1 degree of right will never hurt you.

Wow how much did that one end up weighing? what engine do you have in it? thanks for the advise, I think I'll start with a little down as you suggest. Do you have any pics of your 10 foot duantless you can post?

The Dauntless is 122 inch span, weighs 51 pounds, and had a Husqvarna 7.3 single lunger. It was actually built by a friend of mine. Here is a youtube vid:

All of the build details and specifications such as control throws, CG, wing incidence and engine incidences can be found on Ziroli's web site under each plan offered.
