RE: Take out the $$$$ factor and what would you build?
Chad, nice bird. The Japanese had some interesting designs. I always liked the Ki-45 Toryu codename "Nick". Got a couple of the Hasegawa 1/48th scale kits of the Ki-45 and someday want to draw up plans probably 1/6th scale. I also have the Tamiya Ki-46 Dinah too like in the photo, the recon version. They also had one with guns on it but I don't have that kit and I think it's out of production. It was a fast plane and the last version, the III, flew virtually unmolested until the very end of the war. Nice to see someone looking for the unusual subject. One of my other to do planes is the Macchi C202 and C205 fighters and maybe the Fiat G55 Centauro. You know, all the ones with really different paint jobs

Chad you are on the right track with the twin Mokis, but the first thing I am building in a 'cost no object' world is a shop. All the best tools, building tables, AC, all the right stuff. My lair. The airframes that come out in the end are almost secondary.

Monster (over 140 inch span) of every US WWII fighter that had a radial (with a awesome radial in the model of course). Add to that a mustang and a P-38 and a p-40 with multiple cylinder engines in them too (of course). Have to find a way to get that mustang to have that supercharger scream as it passes by at WOT..............Wish I could find a way to do that Tim Allen (Home Improvement) grunt while typing. Oh ya...throw in all the extras that would have to go along with them

Money no object would first be a large work shop then and full size van with unlimited gas card. Then I would build a large Jungmeister, Macchi C200, 1/4 Wildcat, Brewster Buffalo and Westland Whirlwind. Radials when needed. I do also like the KI-43 Oscar.

I'm with you. BVM twin turbin F-4. Of course I'd have to build a paved runway to fly it off of.....but money is no object.

I'd also have to build a B-25 for twin Moki radials.

PS - I have the Tamiya Dinah kit with the recon nose amongst my documentation for the airplane.
