Tailwheel seems more hassle than it should be with “if your arms are long enough you can reach the front tailwheel mount screws through the wing saddle”. Then there’s the servo cables to deal with….can’t handle that either. So, I’ll just cut a hatch, like I did the aileron servo hatches.

unless you are reinforcing the area with fiber, I would not be cutting such large areas of the fuse. The composite skin has tremendous strength but that is based on a continuous whole surface. The airframe is incredibly well engineered. You might need to work around some challenging areas, but no one else is having to chop things up FWIW ...

I don’t consider cutting a hatch as chopping things up…the opening may be reinforced with some simple carbon fiber tow which by all counts will leave it stronger than before. I’m not the guy that likes complicated assembly and repair when it’s needed. Besides, my arms aren’t long enough

Brilliant work Mike!!

Look back on this thread and you will see quite a few posts that explain the alignment. The fit is so tight with the Moki that, in a nutshell, the engine will only fit in one place and still clear the cowling all the way around.
Again, lots of pictures from several guys that will help you a bit further back on this thread.
Keep up the good work !!
Regards-Mike O.

Thanks Mike…I’ll search back. I’m building two of these and they both align the same and since others have the same issue it’s definitely taking the concern away.
thanks again
