****WARBIRDS OVER GEORGIA; Who's going?????
Warbirds Over Georgia from 06/09/2011 to 06/11/2011 at beautiful Hodges Hobbies ( www.hodgeshobbies.com )
Who's coming and what ya bringing? I've been the last two years and it's been fantastic. Mac's place is the Georgia idea of Field of Dreams for RC'rs!!! Great place to fly, great people to hang with all weekend and only 10 minutes from one of the neatest little hidden towns (Americus) to eat and sleep in.
The event/attendance is growing fast. We will be getting there around Wednesday afternoon to set up and be ready to fly first thing Thursday morning.....I already can't wait. There is about 5 or 6 of us coming from the Tampa/Lakeland Florida area for our third year. I'll have my Wildcat and Meister 47 (both with MOKIs) and my new Park Zone 47 foamy for some fun and friendly combat flying! Lookout Dino....I'm coming for you! I know of about 6 of us with the little 47's, hope there's a bunch so we can have a mass launch and see if we can fly the right aircraft??? Did that a few years ago at Joe Nall with about 73 T28's...had a ball and laughed my head off!
Enough rant, now who's coming and what ya got to fly? Looking forward to seeing all the guys again and hope to meet a bunch of new people too. Always the highlight are the new faces and planes.
See ya all in about 4 weeks!
Scott

The guys from Montgomery Alabama will be there early Thursday morning. We are planning to bring a Ziroli, Stuka, P-61, and possibly a new Hellcat, a Yellow T-6, and Jerry Pate will be bringing his new Petrausch T-6 with a Moki 250, and a Scalewings F-7 Tigercat with 2 G-62's. This is our favorite event of the year and we're really looking forward to it.

Man you guys are getting me fired up. You probably know by now that I can't get enough of the radials. I am certainly excited to see everyone again and can't wait to see all the planes. The new planes like the Meister Zero and the T6 Texan really peak my interest. Any pictures guys? Love to have a taste of what we're going to see!
See you all soon,
Scott

Hey Everyone!
I just ran across your thread here on Warbirds over Georgia. I'll be coming up from Orlando. I plan on attending and bringing my 1/3 Scale Pup, 1/4 Scale Pup and or my Bristol F2B. I have flown at Mac Hodges for the Dawn Patrol Event. A great place, a great area and a great bunch of guys. Can't wait to get there! I hope to see some Blue Max guys there!

Can't wait! Full steam ahead on the Ziroli Bearcat shown in the pics. These pics were shot on May 7th, think I can do it!? Will have a Zenoah GT-80 for power. Tentative scheme shown. We'll be bringing a trailer full of heavy metal warbirds and a handful of Parkzone P-47's for a miniature warbird gaggle!

Very cool Steve! I know there are at least three more PZ 47's coming in our bunch! We need to have a mass launch and see if we continue to fly the right plane???? Remember when we did that with 73 T28's at Joe Nall a few years back.....hysterical!!!
We'll be there wednesday afternoon to set up and dump the trailer. Then off to the Hotel for some food and drinks. Maybe we can enjoy a few cocktails together wednesday night before the rest of the crowd shows up thursday?
All the best guys,
Scott
PS:New aquisition, CARF Ultra Flash, Thinking I can get away with the paint job on this sport jet for Macs Warbird event. What do you think??

Ha Ha. Well my engine seems to fine now... thx to goetz from vogelsang...seems mine was the only one that had the camshaft cutting into the crank sensor. after three sensors they realized maybe somethings wrong here and he's not just *****in!! but I'm flying the gt-80 and bubble top this summer. It's nice to go fly and not have to wrench on an engine! I will miss seeing you guy's.. Have fun... Jeff

Getting close now and I think I am going to make it! Test fly tomorrow (while paint dries!) and then markings, etc. Sunday and into the trailer Monday-Tuesday. New scheme will be representative of fellow RC modeller's Jason Somes' full scale show Bearcat owned by the Commemorative Air Force in Chino, CA.
