Hi Guys,
My Corsair is almost ready to be painted. I want to add all the small details now that bring a scale model to life, but I am struggling to find good photographic reference sources. At the moment I am wanting to cut out the trim and anti balance tabs and make them more scale, but I cannot find reliable photos of the linkages and horns for these. I am pretty sure that the linkages for the aileron anti balance tabs go through a large slot in the aileron root. Trouble is that most photos I have found a WW2 vintage grainy and faded. Anyone got any photos or can point me at a reference source that will show this stuff? I am planning to do a RNZAF example circa 1944. So it will be sand blasted, grimy, oil stained and well worn.
The main reference book I have been using is "The Vought F4U Corsair- A comprehensive guide" by Rafe Morrisey and Joe Hegedus from SAM Publications.
Thanks in Advance

John

Sorry John, I was slow in getting this to you.
This are the books I used and they are very good. All should be available on Amazon. The Pacific Eagles book contains awesome color photos, which show you what the TRUE weathering on these birds looked like.
