RE: looking for a ME 163
What are you going to start with? I bet after two months of training, you must be ready for some shop time!
Mine just needs the leading edges of the wings glassed(I used Fliteskin) and servos installed in the wing and it finished....I just have too many projects going, but it will fly this season.

Don't know!!! it been so long
I have done a little work here and there on weekends while on the course but not too much, almost got out today to fly my flyboy's Me-163 but didn't make it out to the field in the end[&o] I feel your pain with too many projects on the go, I have to finish glassing a 1:5 P-51 for a friend of mine, and I have to finish installing the engine in a KMP Ju-87B, but after all that's done I'm pretty much planning on finishing my 132" lancaster and converting the 80" 1/4 saittia Me-163 to turbine at the same time.
Came across an old friend of mine at a warbird meet a few weeks ago, and had a chat to him about sheeting the 1/4 Komet foam cores for me. I was going to call him up to drop them all off last week and then I thought, he's going to have to install a root rib on the wing and then that means I should have the spar system all sorted out before he can do than, so I have to get it sorted out before I drop them off.
Been trying to get a hold of RCguy59, but he may be busy of late as well.
Thanks

Dave,
warbirds this Sunday at Gratton field. You going? I'm only taking the seafury, it has been re-balanced and retracts seems to be ok now so might get some good flights in. P51 is U/S till I get a new 24 oz tank for it, old one is splt! No wonder it would not peak out.
cheers
Peter

RE: looking for a ME 163
Casey,
sure mate. Apologies to thread owner for hijacking!
Details:
Vailly Seafury
90" span
42lbs / 19kg
Engine Zenoah GT-80 twin with 21x12 Mejanik prop (spelling?)
Retracts - mains scale twin strut arrangement by custom Retracts Australia, tail retract by Sierra
Wheels - scale 4 spoke 5.5" by Sierra
It is standoff scale, limited detailing. Flies beautifully, very docile. Even a hamfisted pilot like me can fiy it well. I used to have a G62 in the nose and while it flew it quite well I wanted something with a little more grunt. GT80 is much stronger and far smoother. Still only has about 30 mins running so far and has had only 2 flights with new engine.
there are older pics from last year when I had the G62 still in it. Spinner is now painted Sea grey.

Hey Guys,
Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I just found in my kit inventory a .40 Me163 Kit. I believe this is a Bob Sealy kit based off the Bob Holman/Talyor Design. Fiberglass fus/Foam wing kit.
I will sell it if anyone is interested. PM me for the details.
Now back to the topic at hand!
Cheers,
Ham639
