Congratulations on a wonderful build and succesful maiden flight Mirce. I've got to say though I've never witnessed anything like the 3d routine at the end of the first video. Astonishing!!! Foolhardy!!!!!! Life on the line!!!! Horrible for the hobby if anything went wrong. Had to get it off my chest. Mitch

Thank you for comments...
In mean time I was few more time to fly my Jug.
Oh man, what a model... I fell in love in this P-47 when I build it, but now I'm totally crazy about it...
But, I work on my next model, same firm - Meister Scale - but this time it is Zero...
I am working on it for some time, so now, for those who don't know about that, I want to invite them to check how that building will be...
My plan is to maiden flight will be made at spring next year...
Here is link: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11138398/tm.htm
Hope you will enjoy in Zero building at least as well in this topic...

Hello Mirce, Great job on your Meister and congrats on the maiden. I just found your link today. Don't know why but RCU quit sending me your posts so i had a lot of catching up to do. Again congrats on the maiden . I've started my P-47 wing and will incorp what you did on your Zero build for the wing spar. I subscribed to that thread and will follow with great interest. take care John Taylor

Hi mirce,
your P-47 is very nice, and you chose good engine! I´m interested in your retract pneumatic system. You have one working circuit for the doors and retracts or two? Because I saw, that you use a two tanks. Could you draw some basic scheme please?

Hello Prekin,
I have two air tanks because I want to have more air in system.
I have two air valves also, one for landing gear doors and other for landing gear. On my JR 9303, I can slow servo speed, so when I move switch for landing gear servo which push air valve for landing gear doors move on normal speed and doors open first. Landing gear servo is on slow mode, so that air valve will move after few seconds.
When I want to retract my landing gear, servo which move air valve for landing gear is on normal speed, and servo for doors are slower...
That is simple system and you don't need some extra door sequencer or similar products...
Scheme for air system is like this: two air tanks are connect together with T connector.
Than you have 3 T connectors in line:
- for air intake
- for manometer
- and last is splitter to two air valves (for landing gear & LG doors)
Hope this will help...
Regards
Mirce

Thank you very much! I understand you.
I have ESM retract. I also you slow mode for the servo, but the opening is still very quick. Maybe Robart has better air valves.
In the Picture I see, that you have something as switcher. Is there some connection with the air valve?
Are you able to make a decals for P-47 in 1/6 scale?

RE: Meister Scale P 47 - step by step
First to say hello to my friend Gary. Nice to see you here my friend. Regards to Brian....
Perkin, that switch is for landing lights. When air valve go in position near to switch, he push it, made contact, and landing lights start illuminate.
But, when is model on the ground, you must have one more switch to turn off lights.
That mean, on P 47 I have one 3 NIMh cell battery for light. After battery I have switch, which is in compartment near switch of receiver. That is "main" switch.
From that switch installation go to switch which is on picture and after that wires go further to lights.
So, before flight, first turn on switch for receiver, than for landing lights. Lights will illuminated.
After take off, when you move switcher on transmitter to close landing gear, servo of air valve for landing gear move valve on other side and disconnect light switch. That mean when is model in the air no lights...
This system save me one channel on transmitter because lights is connect with gears (mechanical).
On P 47 you have landing lights which come inside and outside of the wings bottom side. I made that light on servo and that servo is mix with landing gears servos. One small problem here is that for air valves for landing gear and landing gears door you need short move on servo, and for LG light you need long travel of servo arm. But, it can be made...
In this case you save one more channel on your transmitter. If you have free channels, you can mix that two function so in that case you can made on your transmitter move for air valve and for servo for lights separately...
Hope this will help...
Yes, I can made all you need for your 1/6 scale P 47.
In Mirce Finish Set you will get 100 meter 1,2 mm thin line for panel lines, 15000 rivets, and more than 750 dummy screws in three different dimension.
In Detail Set you will get all details for fuselage, both wing sides and tail...
I can made Paint masc for stars and bars also...
Check my web site for more information about products, how to apply it, price...
Best regards
Mirce

Hello Mirce,
Here is what I use, and it saves a channel on your TX. I slave it to the flaps. Flaps up - lights off, flaps down - lights on. You do not need another switch as everything is controlled by the RX. It can be programmed for P-47 style or P-51 style.
EDR-117 RCNS LiteSys RC Nav + Beacon/Strobe + Landing Light System
iteSys Starter System with Transmitter-controlled switching.
Our most popular Starter System!
Red/Green Nav Lights
Red Beacon or White Strobe (select)
4-way Distributor
Landing Light
Dual RC Switch

RE: Meister Scale P 47 - step by step
After just 11 flights, no one flight this year, I decided to sell my P 47 Thunderbolt.
One and only reason for this is, model is so big and for me little to complicated. This is fantastic model, fly great, but I need always to have one helper, I can't put it in trailer alone, or assembled on airfield alone. It's to huge for my taste...
All "sell combination" is possible, complete model, model without engine, without engine and equipment...
More info on my e-mail...
This is more interesting for modelers in Europe, because P 47 size...
Best regards

For more information: http://www.nsmodelers.rs/warbirds/p-...cale/p-47-sale
Because Meister Scale P 47 is big model, I think that it will be more interesting for modelers in Europe, because easier shipping.
I want to ask modelers from Europe to help me, and send me some links of Forums in their country, on which I can put add for this model. All Europe countries are interesting... Thanks in advance...

Hi Mirce,
I just finished my P-47 and maidened last weekend. Great flying plane. But like you say, very big and difficult to handle without help and without a trailer. Here are a couple of pictures taken by Terry.
