Top Flite Giant Corsair ARF Disappeared.

Looks like someone let the cat out of the bag too soon and they had to pull it back. Just a teaser I guess. Maybe the sales on the smaller one were lagging for the holidays and they were afraid people would save their money for the GS. I hate market manipulation!!! I will attest that I saw it on their website and posted on the thread

Interesting, I did a search and it said I don't have sufficient authorization to view that thread and I read it last night

Dan
Top Flite has never had a Gaint size Corsiar ARF. They have the F4U Kit that is I think 85" that is gaint scale. The .60 size is an ARF and that is not a gaint scale airplane. That is all that I am aware of.

I also had an opportunity to view the add at length. From some of the pics and info it appears they put a lot of thought into the production of this one. One of the things I read mentioned a main spar with aluminum sandwiched in plywood and then there was the plug in outer wing panels.
My guess is someone just accidentally included it in the rotating banner adds and we will see it again sometime in the near future. Something as nice as this will most likely get introduced maybe at the Toledo show in a few months.

Yep I saw it to. The 3-piece wing , solid color , fiberglass tail cone, tail wheel doors, and and in the info section looks like it uses a new main retracts . The number wasn't the 148's the kit use's . It was there. it's not a myth or UFO sighting . I like the 3-piece wing .will be saving my pennies.

Well Guys I guess I stand corrected..........I never saw the add, but I new their was some talk of them maybe putting one out next year. But again I never saw any new ads on the plane as some of you have seen. I sure hope they do put one out this year. I still have the P51 which is about 7 years old now with a G62 on it. , still one of my favorite planes to fly.
We will see what happens.

Count me in as a witness: It was brought to my attention in this post, in the 'I Saw It...60 size Corsair ARF' thread:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=10743245
The post immediatly following it has a screen shot that I captured of the elusive model, showing it in the same scheme as the giant scale kit.

May be they held it back because of problems at the factory. Who knows...
But it would be nice to know this bird is coming, so guys like me dont go out and buy the ESM model with lousy retracts.
I don't think they held back to push the 60 size bird. Most of us GS guys would not even look at the small planes anyway.
