Nick Ziroli's newest design is a Spit. It flys as good as any Ziroli design.

I looked into that spit man its nice i called him up and he told me about it. He makes all of it from the motor conversion to the landing gear. That would be one great project.

If you are not too worried about it being exactly 1/4 scale then I would say have a look at the Carf Spitfire. Three of us in my flying group have one and are really pleased with the Kit. Not technically an ARF, yet considerably quicker to build than other Spitfires we have had of a similar size. All composite construction with loads of surface details moulded in already. Can be flown on a DA 50. My current one is on a Evolution 80 cc and going great. You can either builder super simple, or go to town and detail it up if you want..
