Okay, I know that there are full bodied 1/4 scale pilots available from numerous sources but most look so funky I would never even consider buying one. Isn't there a supplier out there somewhere that offers a truly scale figure. like an "Aces of Iron" pilot but with the full uniform and flight regalia. Some of the "dolls" I've seen have what I would consider" bonnets" for flying helmets and goggles that look like "speedos". I have seen excellent 1/6th scale military figures but nothing in 1/4 scale,Ebay is full of those.

Proctor Enterprises, Patti's Pilots (Australia) and Mick Reeves Models (England). I don't have any of Patti's but do have the others and they are nice!

Thanks for the "plug" UncleJoe.
Loopman,Below is a shot of my latest pilot in the works, he is non other than Lothar Von Richthofen, the younger - but no less deadlier - brother of the Red Baron. He is 1/4 scale, full-bodied and will be hollow-cast in durable resin. All detail is authentic, right down to the crown on his Imperial German Army buttons!
Here is the "build" thread of how I created Lothar...

He will be ready for sale Mid-February 2012.
Best of luck with your WWI project!
