Any ideas on performance using O.S.160FX on Brian Taylor 83"
Spitfire?
Am i correct in assuming an all wood fuse is lighter than glass?

well that depends? I had the BT Spitty, which I lost a couple weeks back. mine weighed right at 16#. it had a glass fuse. so it was light. I flew mine with a 1.80 Moki. This engine with a Zinger 18*10 prop flew it very nice. The Moki has about 4 tenths more horsepower than the OS. It is alos heavier, of which you will need some nose weight for this plane. I imagine it would fly it, if you kept it under 15# IMHO.
I would stick with a Moki, or something bigger.

As I already own the 160, would be the way to go.
Maybe reduce tail weight as far as possible (move servosfwd etc)
The 160 can turn 18x10 @7800 to 8000rpm. i hope :-)

built light, keep the tail light, move servo's as far
forward as possible. I dont see why the 1.60 wouldnt fly
it as I have seen it fly other 16-17lb models. if you can
keep it light, you should be fine

Thanks a lot for the links & advise Todd.
Sorry to see the crater you left in the ground....
Surely the fuse can be patched?
Anyway , got lots of work waiting, thanks again
Cheers
