Power for H9 P-47 60 size ARF
Looking for recommendations for a power plant for a Hangar 9 .60 P-47 ARF. I can't find a build thread so if you know of one please include a link.
I have a YS FS120 about to become available and I have some experience with DLE motors... but I got the kit on the cheap, I've got spare components (servos, etc)... what do you think?

Here is link to the Build Thread on the H9 60 Size P-47

Any 90 Size 4 Stroke would work well, and I would think the YS120 would work; I run a RCV91CD in my P-47.

I have the Hanger 9, P-47. It is powered with a RCV 91CD 4-stroke motor that hauls it very well, close to scale like in the air. It doesn't require a lot of runway with the RCV 91CD.
It's a great flying model and would recommend it highly due to its docile flight characteristics. It is beautiful in flight, especially when flown in (loose) formation with a P-51 or other similar allied WWII aircraft. I would say the 120 4-stroke would really haul it around.
And as always, we must be aware that, "Experience is a hard teacher. She always gives the test first and the lesson some time later!"

the 2 H-9 planes I have are powered by OS 91 4 strokes plenty of power for the light weight H-9 60 series, if you go with the YS make sure you check all the glue joints at the firewall, after wicking thin CA at all the triangle blocks behind the firewall,I used 30 min epoxy and thinned it down just a little bit with denatured alcohol, and coated the entire fuel tank compartment, to fuel proof it and also add glue in all the nooks and crannies that I may have missed.
