Cool looking FW-190! What kind of modifications did you make? What kind of engine?

Thanks, it has been glassed, has panel lines and rivets. The gun hood is fiberglass, it's for a Don smith FW-190, that has been cut down to fit. It has a DLE 55 on it, planning on a maiden this weekend.

I will be there Saturday with the A-10 and GS TF P-47. Sean!!!!! We will have to get someone to video us flying and then we could work on attacking that FW-190.

ummm....can I fly with my "fishing rod"? ( AKA 72mhz )

Or is it strictly a Ron Popeil pocket fisherman event?

Yes, bring your "fishing rod"! 72 mhz and 2.4 are both allowed. In fact, I still fly with 72 mhz! They call my stuff antique, but it still works fine!

Great news on the 190.
You can be assured that people will be at the field on Friday afternoon, unless it's pouring down rain...
and even then, there will probably be some people under the hut.

Sounds good. Are there any axis pilots down there? I think I will need a wingman!

Doug B. has an ESM FW190 with a G38 in her that's RTF. I'm pretty sure that one will be there.
I have a lil' electric Me262 and an 80" Stuka ARF- But that one hasn't flown in Years...I'll see about what it'll take to get her in the air.

Wow sounds like its going to be a target rich environment! Going to have to bring out the heavy metal (I mean fiberglass).

Tim, i think Ira in the Corsair is itchng to go! He can fly cap over us as we tear it up. Be nice to call in an Ace for backup. We can switch up on each mission but i think we might have our work cut out for us. The B25 ready for some low level missions?????? I think trains are listed in the targets of opportunity!

Sam

I think we can give them the "low down" if needed. In fact I think we have some of that on film...don't we!!!

Should be able to clear the sky with Ira, Johnny and Jimmy.

Got the DLE-55RA mounted in my new Mustang! Now I need to hook up the throttle, put in the tank and ingnition system, and she'll be ready for a test run.

You guys really put on a great event at a beautiful flying site. I plan on being there again this year. May bring my big (ugly) 120 in wing span Westland Lysander. See you there
