Here are a couple of photos of my Nosen P-51. It is powered with an old Quadra .75. It uses Robart Retracts, covered in fiberglass and painted with Val-Spar Aluminum and Krylon Red. It weights 35 #. That's me standing along side an original Tuskegee Airman Instructor. His name is Rosco Draper and he is 94 years old. He flew the Stearman they used for training.....

Count me in!! I have the H-9 .60 arf, Marie... Electric retracts and a Saito 100 4s. I won the kit at the first warbid air show i went to, hadn't even started flying yet. Took me four years to learn to fly good enough to try to fly it.. now i'm looking forward to going the next size up with a gasser.

I have been contemplating either doing mine as Weeks P-51 or as Princess Elizabeth, and think I will do it as the latter since my Daughter is Elizabeth and she thinks she is a princess. It would be a PITA to do the polished look of Macon Belle.

Hi All,
Here is a photo of my Nosen P-51D. I flew this from 2005 to 2013. Lost it last July
. It
was powered with a G-62 and had Robart retracts. I am building a TF GS P-51 as a replacement. Please add me to the brotherhood!

Please count me in also. I have a Top Flite 1/5 P51D ARF that I'm trying to convert to a "B" but am having a difficult time in finding a canopy or conversion kit or basic info on doing so. If anyone can help me with info or point me in the right direction I would be grateful. This is my first posting in this forum and I'm looking forward to hearing from you all.

Mesaman4, I'm also building a TF 1/5 Scale P-51B. I'm modifying the TF P-51D ARF. I got my canopy from Fiberglass Specialties. About $40.00 + shipping. Running a DLE 55 rear exhaust in it. It's not quit finished but I have flown it 5 times. Flies great. I have taken all kinds of building pictures with the idea of starting a build thread. But I haven't started the build thread yet because I don't want to interrupt the building. Been building on it since Feb 2013. I'll be glad to try to answer any questions you might have.

It's about time, love the sexiest plane on the planet, fast too. Mine is the 1/5 scale TF gild kit P-51D model, Robarts, sliding canopy finished cockpit, pannel lines and rivets and I did the whole thing detail wise. Powered by a DLE 55 and 5 yrs. in the making, guess you better give me a number. Looking foward to seeing the many out there, thanks for doing this.

Leroy - Beautiful work! It's funny that the paint on your Mustang is much higher quality (chemically) than anything they even had in WWII.

I have a Top Flite Control Line P-51 kit I plan to convert to RC. I built one when I was a kid. Well, I'm being generous. I trashed the kit as it was way beyond my capabilities. I just have to look at the plan and make sure that the wing isn't asymmetrical as is common in control line kits. It has a 35 or 36" span and was designed for a .35. I think it will fly very well with a .21 considering it doesn't have 60' lines to drag around.
