Hi guy's I would like to join. I have a Ziroli P-51 which I converted to a B model and I'm re-covering a Nosen P-51 for a friend. Question on the Nosen Did anyone make retracts for this big bird? John T

Hoss, I don't think Great Planes ever made a big Mustang. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. Looking at the thread, it's hard to tell enough from pic. The ball links low on rudder makes me think its a Byron. If its a glass fuse that also would point to a Byron. Foam wing? Detailed panel lines in fuse? Need better pics to be sure. If its is a Byron, they fly excellent. If it is a built up fuse and wing, it could be many kits in that size.

Thank you GIVdriver......
He says it's a glass wing. The fuse has panel lines. The picture you are seeing is a painted model.
I think I may pass on it.
I really thank you for replying............

I have a Nozen P-51 that has retracts in it. I used the Robart #152 retracts. The way the wing is made, I have had nothing but problems with the mounts staying in the wing. The 152 Robart retracts are mounted at the very front of the wing. As you can tell, there isn't much to hold them in. I think Robart makes a large set of retracts like the ones that they make for the Top Flite P-51. Also, I think Sierra makes a large set for the P-51. Good luck......

I used Robart 635 in my Nosen P-51 for 8 years with no issues.
