During the so called blizzard (I'm from Alaska), I worked on the Top Flite cockpit kit and went ahead and made a scratch panel using a photo of the full scale Thunderbolt in order to get the instruments,I only wish I had seen the photo of the full scale panel before I set out getting the correct instruments. So its not Top Gun scale but I'm happy with it. I have fitted the cockpit and now looking into getting a 1/8 scale WWII pilot which I see advertised here at good ole R.C.U.

Currently installing the cockpit and finishing the engine installation ,only need to hook up the choke, install the spark plug and ignition .

What a drag though my club field is closed due to the current restrictions in the Washington,D.C.area.

I have installed the DLE-20 RE gas engine and hope it runs as nice and easy as it was to install

Here is a picture it is about RTF getting quite anxious with regards to flight operations for any R/C model with the flight restrictions in the WDCA

Richard,

I know the thread is old but wanted to ask about the placement of the DLE on the firewall. I am doing a conversion from a 120 4s to the DLE 20 RA and my fire wall was glassed and painted. Is there anyway you might be able to send me some closeups of your install and how the mount is positioned on the fire wall as I do not have any reference marks to go off of. Measurements would will work as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

v/r

Jeff
