These
Hi fellow flyers!
I just wanted to share some pictures of my recently completed Top Flite P-51D Mustang.
I spent every weekend for about two and a half months building this warbird.
I cut no corners and put the best of everything into it. I didn't model it after any plane because I wanted to make it my own. I hand-cut the letters and numbers because I wanted something different than what was available. They have no meaning-I just liked the way that they look. For the cockpit I used photos of a real Mustang interior and glued them on.
For power I bought an O. S. .75. I an using a Tactic radio system and standard Futaba servos.
I tried to improve the droopy nose syndrome by using thicker blocks of Balsa on the nose and eliminated some of the droop but it still exists-oh well.
I used standard landing gear as I fly on a grass runway and also because there are too many issues with retracts.
I'm soo looking foward to putting this thing in the air!

Very nice clean job Hortco. Good luck on your maiden. I hope it flies on rails. Now wipe the sweat off, control those knees, and have a blast. What it's all about. Watching your build fly is a great feeling. Again good luck, and good job.
