Please ID this RC WWII plane so I can sell it
Hi! My late husband left me this RC WWII lane and I want to sell it but I can't even describe it, LOL. It has about a 4 foot wingspan, two gas engines on the wings, some minor damage, and I can't find the remote control for it. RC friends have looked at it enviously but nobody knows the type, make, etc or a reasonable price for it. I'm attaching a photo or two so I hope that helps!

Looks like the A-26 Invader from VQ Models. Look here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-w...-vq-model.html
With 2 Saito engines, you might be able to get $200 to $300 for it.

I doubt it's the VQ model. My guess is the A-26 from Wing Mfg. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/kit-...6-invader.html http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/ite...itemId=1000052

To end any confusion: this type of aircraft went under 2 separate designations: A-26 AND B-26. It is a Douglas design, was given the name "Invader". During WW II, it was designed as A-26. It was used in several wars later, including Korean, Viet Nam, and 'Bay of Pigs'. At some point during the late '50s and early 60's, it was RE-DESIGNED as B-26, long after another aircraft, designed by Martin and referred to as the "Marauder" and also designed as B-26, had been retried from service. Thus, this can correctly be called either an A-26 OR B-26 Invader.
It appears to be somewhat scratch built, and for that reason I would not rule out the long discontinued Berkeley B-26, which had about an 80' wingspan.
EDIT: I see the nacelles and cowlings are molded/ composite of some sort, that has me leaning towards something like a VQ design (Wing Mfg did not have nacelles)
