Hey John , what are you useing in yours for power ?
Guys in this thread that may not have read post on the other popular RC thread make sure you reinforce the servo trays blocks.
Its the only point of weakness that I have seen so far on the Dauntless but James ( the original distributor ) suggest that all the models should have the servos plates reinforced, especially with these larger monster gas engines.

In case your on the fence with this plane, I have seen it in person at the Showwest RC Hobby show and I have the 80" Dauntless and small dauntless. VQ has outdone themselves and reinvented value in stand off scale warbirds.
The Bearcat is simply awesome , the Barrel size fuselage is under appreciated in photos, its a Bear lol for lack of better words !

Here is what I'm using to mount the aileron and flap servos in my Bearcat. I designed them in Sketchup and 3D printed them. Strong and easy to mount.
You can get them here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...d-Servo-Mounts

Just received mine from HK, nice retracts and wheel installed but ,,,, fin damage from the factory ! Box was shipped and handled perfectly, the issues was clearly that VQ packed a damaged plane , wrapped it carefully and shipped it to Hobby King.
So far Hobby King has been very cooperative in the process, I will keep you guys posted but the cost and shipping have been a pleasant surprise.
$590 to my door with the retracts installed. Priced at the other supplier was $730!
I plan on a hacker system motor, 120 amp esc and 2 x 6 cell packs.
I know its a glow /gas thread but its still a warbird

Some great flying fun there! How do your retracts hold up so far? Are they factory? Thank you.
