Flying Fields/Hobby Shops, Los Angeles?
I am going to be traveling to LA for work in a few weeks and staying in Carson, CA. Are there any good flying fields or hobby shops in the area?
Thanks,
Tony

There is a great hobby shop in ontario called hobby club usa. Flying field near chino, called prado flyers. I'm not from LA, but there frequently. There are a couple flying fields in orange county. One is trabuco canyon and the other is orange county rc club. I'd talk to the hobby shops and see if there are any events. Orange county rc club requires a key to get in at all times, so you will need to know someone.
In chino, the planes of fame air museum and Yanks air museum are WELL worth the time. I can't recommend 1 over the other. They both have many ww2 planes.

If you find yourself in Sacramento for any reason, look up RC Country Hobbies.
Go in and say hello to the owners Chet and Terry, and be sure to do your best to frustrate Joe behind the counter on the airplane side of the shop.

I learned to fly here 30 years ago or more and it’s an awesome place. Large runway and taxi ways, very fun. Usually a right to left field. Use to be an Armor museum near by. Lots of old timers here! Lol
Ive flown at Sepulveda Basin too, usually left to right, good jet turn out. Has picnic tables, good shade to hang out
Prado is cool, you should make a day of this field and go to Planes of Fame, best air museum in the SoCal area.
Check out Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair, pretty cool store, big shop.
I dont live down there anymore but you can’t miss with these places.
