Good Morning!

Nice Work!! dont forget to sand all parts before you glue them together ( rods, firewall, fuselage...)
Glue the rods inside and outside!

My engine made the first noise yesterday:

Which prop are you running?

Looking forward to to the flight video!

Hey Chris !

This is Fiala 30/15. but think the RPM will be too high.
For maiden flight I use this and check rpm in flight.

Will happen end of this week !

Canopy done - pain to cut the glass and glue it in

spinner perfect in place

adjusting carb nr1 will be tricky :-)

cut the downside of the carb intake to get the hot air out

secured the rod with silicone

heat protection for carbon rod

It won't be long and you'll do the maiden. Looks great. We had a warbirds fly in this past weekend and a guy had the same plane/engine combo. Flew and sounded super.

Awesome!

Did you strengthen the landing gear mounts in the wing or anywhere else like the tail to handle this 150 engine?

this is the 230 Chris.

So far is everything stock ! On the tail is nearly no weight. So no problem there.
The main gear mounts I can change after the first bad landing

I know right, even heavier!
I redesigned and strengthened the P-51 for the 150. I can’t imagine not doing any of that for the 230!
