Didn't want any switches or lights on the outside of the plane, so I tried to find an interesting spot to still be able to see the ignition light with the hatch on. The video looked better, but I couldn't figure out how to upload it. The light illuminates the bottom of the bomb sight.

I'm not planning on scale competition with this plane, so the more I think about it, no. If I change my mind, I will probably do a magnetic closing slider only, with no actuator servo. How about you Mike?

Hey guys, I’ve got the other piece that was printed by Tom/Geoff. I think the infill could be reduced to make a lighter part. There’s no structural requirements and it’s pretty solid as is.
pic of mine mocked up in the cowl with the 125 UMS. Will probably trim it down a bit to locate it better.

Oh I forgot to mention I installed a UMS 150 and the Plane Came out at 42 pound dry have not flown it yet but looking forward to it had to extend the tail wheel and Hope The retracts hold up because I have been reading bad things about them

Me personally I don’t think the USM 100 would be enough power for that P47 because mines came in at 42# dry and had to add 1# of weight to the tail but if the UMS100 fly it it would be at scale 🤷🏾♂️ Just my belief.

looks great amigo. Mind if I get a copy of the file for the scoop? My buddy has a printer I can use or I’d be happy to compensate you for your time and material. Glad to see the 150 fits well and can’t wait to hear about first flights.
