RE: MIG 3 UPDATE
looks good mate, what size is it? Must be big if you are thinking of a 3W75. I have seen a GS TF Corsair with that engine in it and it is like a rocket.
do you have a colour scheme picked out yet?
Below is a pic of one at an airshow I went to couple of years back.
cheers
Peter

RE: MIG 3 UPDATE
Wow
3dd you couldn't tell me what plans you used? and what you thought of them. I have always wanted to build a mig-3 but have been put off due to a lack of good scale plans.
Best regards Steve

RE: MIG 3 UPDATE
the plans are from roamin research but i think they are out of the bussness but am not sure.it is not a real easy plane to build and takes a long time to complete.i have been working hard on it for 11 months this time but i started it 12 years ago.you really need to have several planes under your belt before you take this one on,a lot is not covered in the manuel and there are no parts at all, templetes off the plans is all there is

RE: MIG 3 UPDATE
Great looking job.
Scrolling thru the thread I didn't see what you were using for retracts. I am at the decision point on mine as to whether to go custom or commercial.
Also I decided to go with a 3 piece wing for ease of field handling.

RE: MIG 3 UPDATE
well thru months of internet researching i found that a lot of the time they had trouble with gear coming down so they would lock it down and cover the gear bays with canvas to seal it out so mine is somewhat of a sunday flyer without retracts.i thought about all my others with retracts and what a pain they were most of the time and tried to simplfy this one.you know one less tning to go wrong haaaaaaaaaaa

Your'e not mad, just cranially challenged . Just like me. But maan oh maaan what a neat bird. It is just the cat's meow. You did a great job. You should be proud. It is nice. I hope your maiden is perfect and misshap free. Good luck with this fine plane.
