after run engine oil

Default after run engine oil

Has anyone have a good home remedy or recipe for my engines for winter storage besides the usual from the hobby store.Tom

Marvel air tool oil works well.

Thanks T for your response.I bought some transmission fluid and will try that.I heard that someplace or read it in one of the magazines that I buy.Tom

Propwash: I use a blend of air tool oil and transmission fluid. The exact ratio is not that exact, somewhere around half & half
I've used it for years and found it to do the job.

but not wd40 (even though the wd means 'water displacement'). Leaves undesireable residue as it dries and doesn't provide the lubricating qualities that ATF or marvel does.

Thanks Tony and 663rd,I knew that trans oil was good,and cheap but needed some backing up.I thank you for your response.Not a very serious subject but something to think about.Tom
