Default First time builder

Hi there, am pretty much new to working on scale warbirds, especially with "build it on your own method as opposed to ARF) , however I do posses alot of patience, and the will to spend alot of time reading and learning from others.

I just recently placed an order from ziroli plans for the package and ordered the kit from precision cuts, which should be here shortly, as this would be my first time build, though I posses alot of wood work skills from repairs on other planes and mods, I really would apprieciate some pointers and do's and dont's from those who have logged more hours in this specific category of scale modellling.

If anyone would be kind enough to provide me some links and comments on this subject and particularly on the Ziroli P51D mustang, I would really apprieciate it.

Thanks

A Ziroli design is not the best choice for a first time build. Ziroli assumes you know "all" the basics. There are few if any instructions with his plans. a few notes on the plans here and there. Spend a lot of time studying the plans, a LOT of time. They build into great models but are for the experienced modeler.
Check the Ziroli forums on rcscalebuilder.com. Lots of good info there. I have been building for years. I just completed a Ziroli Triplane, and I am now doing a Zero.

Shesha,
Check RCSB as they have good construction links on Ziroli design.

Shesha,
Good luck on your P-51 build. You should have little problems. They are great fliers. By the way, I was in your country in 1991. However, the sky was filled with black smoke from burning oil wells. I was rather busy kicking the uninvited guests out of your country. Good luck on your Warbird build.
