Ziroli hellcat glass fuse/foam wings
I would like to build this plane this winter. Has anyone built this plane with the glass fuse from ziroli and foam wings from dynamic balsa? Is this lighter than the all wood version? How was the fit with the wings and fuse? Thanks.

RE: Ziroli hellcat glass fuse/foam wings
that is the exact combo that my friend and I built about six years ago. Had a GT80 with Mezlik 3 blade ,Robarts retracts and wheels. Smoothest flier and quit the performer. Had made the drop tank and flew with it and had the canopy slid to the open position. One change made for the gt80 was the set back engine ,and extended prop shaft and the removeable firewall.
The wings where plug in also helped transport on the wheels.
go for it you won' t be disappointed.

All wood here.. but just getting the Ziroli into the air.. A coupls of motivation pics....
6 flights so far.. and it is easy to fly, grooves well. And most important, it lands very well too ! Keep the tail as light as possible.. you WILL have to add pounds of lead in the nose.
Good Day.
