Default VQ Models (Specifically the P-40)

Anyone familiar with VQ Model products?? I'm interested in the P-40 model and putting a 2-stroke magnum xls .91 in it. Has anyone tried this and if so with what success. thanks

Hello bbj,

I realize I am not answering your question but as an fyi I used a YS FZ91 and I found it a wee bit underpowered and am waiting for a YS FZ-110 to arrive.

The all up weight, depending on which retracts you use, is likely to be around 8.5-9lbs + dry. Though I have no experience with a 2-stroke magnum xls .91, a 2-stroke .91 will pull the plane along great.

Great Flying!

Mine really hauls with the YS 91AC in the nose, swinging an MA 14x10 prop at 9300 rpm. Pictures and video are on my website under VQ P-40. The Magnum .91 two stroke should pull it around just fine.
