Default Kyosho 40 Corsair

Question please, does anyone know what the engine down thrust angle is required for the Kyosho 40 Corsar? I purchased one second hand and the engine is not set correctly and I received no instructions. Thank you.

Phantom Driver,
Go to the Kyosho website and see if they offer a download for the information you seek. "After all, it is a material world" "Yello Book.Com"...LMAO!!!

Right thrust and down thrust are already built into the firewall, so there is no need to tilt the engine either right or down.

What suggests that the engine is set incorrectly? Have you flown it?

Most ARFs are built at the factory with the firewall set for whatever thrust the designer chose. That way, bolting on the motor mount will give the correct side or downthrust. And that will work no matter what the orientation of the engine, upright, sideways, whatever.

Yes, one can go to the web site and download the instructions, but I can not set my computer up to convert the lang. to English. Its my work computer and I no longer have Internet at home. I have read where other people have had to set the thrust angle down.I have flown the plane many times and the plane wants to climb at half to full throttle with the elevator in the centered position. The c/g is set with the nose a little heavy. I will just add a few washers behind the engine mount ant fly it each time until I get it right.

That's odd because mine has no tendency to climb at full throttle, and my elevator is pretty much neutral.

I have an OS 70 4-stroke swinging a 12x6 prop. On takeoff,It pulls hard to the left if I go to full throttle from a stopped position, but doesn't pull left as hard if I start slow and advance the power. It looks great in the air with the gear up and I enjoy the plane. I just have to get the c/g and the thrust angle right.

CG is around 4" from the leading edge next to the fuse. Engine is an OS 91 pumper swinging a Graupner 13.5x8 prop. A warbird is supposed to take off gradually and gracefully with sufficient right rudder to keep it going straight down the runway. If one plans to fly a warbird, then one "must" learn how to use the rudder.
