Default Yank's catmouth Hellcat - any pics?

Hi,

that catmout desing is my favorite Hellcat design. But all I can find are only 4 pictures. Does someone have pictures which show the left and right side of the fuselage and the area around the cockpit with the symbol that can be seen unclearly on my pictures. The Yank's Hellcat is also pictured in the Aero Detail book with 2 photos. But it's not shown on the pages of the book with the detail pictures.

Can you help me please?

Joe

I had these 2 on my harddrive. I believe these planes flew in VF-27 from the USS Princeton .

Here are a few pictures of my Hellcat. I painted the catmouth on by hand from pictures of the #13 of the Princeton. Every one was different because they were painted by hand by the pilots. Some had bloodshot eyes some did not. Some had extra teeth, some had Blue eyes. On some the eyes went all the way into the cowl others did not. Every one was different. Unfortunatly as good looking as the catmouth was only VF-27 from the Princeton was able to get away with the Navys strick policy on nose art. Once the Princeton sunk in 1944 the airborn Hellcats landed on other carriers and the catmouths were painted over that day to meet Navy regulation.

I will see what I have at the house I have some photos somewhere. Are you trying to do a particular hellcat ot just one with a catmouth?
