I figure the71" span CMP 109 will cost around $220-$250. For that price Ill buy some correct size wheels. Some guys spend almost twice as much on similar Chinese arfs and toss even the retracts those models come with and spend another $200 for retracts. Then tires ect....
I know I will have to remove the "shelf paper" on the wings and Hstab, glass the wings, Hstab, maybe repaint, correct location and beef up retract mounts. But Im way ahead of a scratch build, and cheaper.
I will probably buy two of the 109s, if they are comprable to thier Zero. Of course all the Chinese arfs are still polyester resin and get soft in around 85 degree sun, , would be nice if they would use Epoxy, but thats around 4 times as much cost in resin.

You can go with correct size wheels only if the wheel wells can be enlarged. The wing spar might be in the way.
Will be watching for the release of the 109. Hope we have many good build threads to go along with it.

Unless your a big fan of an airframe................
Historically, in my experience most arf flyers don't know "correct" or "accurate" sizes and shapes. Even me, if I don't get my books out on a model I'm not fan of.
So to get close to correct on an arf is good enough for most of the arf buyers.
To accomodate a larger wheel on a 109, I would first consider moving towards the LE and not the TE. Since I'll be strpping the wing of its covering, I be able to do anything it may need to put wheels that look acceptable.
Still the cowl and spinner are the main concerns for me. And the supercharger scoop and oil cooler scoop now that I think of it.

Is it known which version is going to be produced?, most common Emil version or the more exotic Friedrich or Gustav ones?.

RE: CMP BF 109 -FOR THOSE INTERESTED
I´m starting to wonder how much it will be deformed???
I have to compare it with YT arfs
I know they are more expensive (not in Europe)
At the moment it seems to me like if I will buy some Chinese car (strong wind etc) or Audi
Same size but Audi is much more expensive, but much better
I´m not too rich to buy cheep thingsthings
