OV-10 Photos?
I am currently building the Rich Uravitch's OV-10 and I'm getting some real helpful advice from many of you guys that have already built or are building one. Does anyone have photos of their Bronco, with their choice of retracts, engines, etc.. I love seeing other projects and the input is priceless.
Thanks in advance!

RE: OV-10 Photos?
I think I can now send pix Fili, so here goes. Two O.S. .70 four strokes, Spring-aire retracts from Uravitch (he bends the struts), JR radio with twenty or thirty servos-I lost count-two JR extra batts 1800 maH each(one wasn't heavy enough), two Hitec 85's on elevator; see detail pic. Transport and assy fixture from 2" pink foam. JIM

Nice Job Jim! How do you like the Spring airs? I was looking at the Precision retracts. $$$ but Nice! Hey, how much does that thing weigh? Getting colder, I'm getting that building fever again. Hope to make great strides on my Bronco....Keep us posted

Your photo(s) has inspired me!! After the thoroughly trashing the first set of verticals trying to make the Mickey Mouse elevator servo linkage work, I resorted to a foam-core, sheeted symetrical-foiled stab with the servo inside its own servo bay. Since I'm now inspired once again, I have to find all the parts and get going again. I've rough framed everything but have not hung flaps and ailerons yet. Once I find all the parts, I'll post a photo or two of the horiz. stab.
Regarding photos, I found some photos of a platic model Marine OV-10 - some of them appear below. I've already made my decals using CorelDraw - dang, I gotta find them too!!
Fili and Jim: thanks for the inspiration!!!

I originally used 3/16 wire for the legs, but they bent too easily. Waiting for new blocks from Springair so I can install 1/2" oleo legs.

I really don't know yet how to configure them. Since the oleos are straight I may have to angle the mounting blocks up in the rear. This would give a non scale slant to the gear. I also thought about letting 1/2" of wheel stick out (no gear doors). The blocks just came today so I can begin experimenting.

Hey! Did you guys reinforce the verticle fins on your Broncos? What did you do? I've heard and read about many of them snapping off in flight. I have mine done, but I'd like to see If what I've done will be strong enough.

Fili-I like the Spring-aires-one air line-they only need 60-80lbs to run at least five cycles, and if you lose air pressure, they come down automatically. I remember seeing Spring-aire at Toledo in the seventies- the gear ran off crankcase pressure of your (two stroke) engine. Motor quits, gear down! Here's a pic of the stab screws-they screw into Dubro threaded inserts epoxied into the stab. And no, I don't own a scale! JIM

RE: OV-10 Photos?
Thanks for all the photos on the ov-10, the two hitec 85s on the elevator will get me back to building this one. The elevator push rods is a pain!!!!!!!!!!! This should help.
Thanks
Gary.
