The plane in these pictures is still officially the Air Vehicle Number 1, a prototype, onboard the USS George Washington CVN-73 for catapult fit checks. Not exactly still Top Secret, but certainly not yet made public.
It will be known as the F/A-37. Although specs are classified, it is believed to be Mach 3.5 (top speed in the Mach 4 range), super-cruise stealth fighter/bomber/interceptor with approximately a 4,000nm range. Awesome!
Check out the Navy test pilot in the cockpit of the F/A-37...LT Kara Wade.

Fairly cool looking but I'm not a believer. Lt Kara Wade is wearing some funky kinda helmet and certainly not any kind of US Navy uniform that I've ever seen.

That's the fighter from the 2005 movie "Stealth" with Jamie Foxx. "Kara Wade" is actually actress Jessica Biel.

Please look close at the rudder of the last picture as you can see small blue flecks! very ubique and there is a great story behind this aircraft!
And that is Patty Wagstaff in Jim Beasley's 51. She put on a great show! More tomorrow...

I am relocating to Columbus and have family in town but we were driving out to check out our new house and we saw a very stunning sight on the horizon which eventually flew directly over us. Four P-51's in formation around a B-17.

What a GREAT show! It was SOOO good that I don't know what to say. You really had to be there to take in all the sights and sounds (oh, the sounds!). Previously, the best airshow I've ever attended was the 2002 Gathering of Corsairs and Legends. This one tops that.
I was there on Saturday. If you saw a dorky looking guy carrying around a RC model of Crazy Horse... that was me. I didn't care how dorky I looked, because I was on a mission. I HAD to take the pictures you see here.
The gentleman signing the wing of my model is none other than Lee Lauderback, co-founder of Stallion 51 Corporation (the organization that put the show together) and pilot of Crazy Horse and Crazy Horse 2. He is the "LL" on side side of the Crazy Horses. Douglas Schultz, the other co-founder of Stallion 51, is the "DS" on the other side of the Crazy Horses. It's too bad I didn't meet him and get his autograph on the other wing.
Mission accomplished.

Fantastic pictures from all you folks, much appreciated by those of us who could not make it to the show. Thanks a bunch!

I'm sorry to hear that about Douglas Schultz. My apologies for my ignorance.

Hey Juice,
That's great! Too bad I didn't see you. I bet you were smiling ear to ear when you got to put your plane next to Crazy Horse. Glad you got to complete the mission.
Here's a few pictures I took.
