man took a while to find the thread, been a while, i think i have solved the bubbles, i used the bubbles tank and had good results, need to reaply the cowl and do a few more test runs, but now for the bad news, saturday me and the wife had a accident on the harley, I am ok, just got my arms all bandaged up, but my wife is in pretty bad shape, still in the hospital in modesto, i am hoping to get her to fresno maybe tommorrow, she is ok but in lots of pain, 7 broken ribs, and a fractured shoulder blade all on the right side. she walked a little today so thats good, thank god we are alive, but the raider is gona have to wait a while longer, this is the longest it has ever taken me to get a plane in the air, my friend know and can tell you that usually its up the next weekend, but i need to focus on the wife and how i am gona pay the bills. anyways keep us in your prayers, thanks to all my fellow flyers.

hey Eric , good luck , we will pray for your wife , also remember add some things in the plus colume. WHat I mean is that I am a vp of sales , but I also coach and condition ice hockey teams . WHen you are trying to recover you need to help the body with the proper food(best possible) and rest .
You know your wife taiste -go to a good suppliment store , get a great whey protein , it will help with the bones and muscle repair and usually taiste great . Soy is great for women but many can not tolerate the taiste .
So I am not hijacking the thread , any questions just PM me , remember -the body is a car , the better the fule the better the performance
As far as the plane , how are the wheels as far as weight , wondering if there worth it based on the weight traveling aft .

Eric,
Very sorry to hear of the accident... We are out of the state right now, but will be saying prayers for your wife's and family for a fast recovery.
I don't live very far from you. When we're back, if you need anything feel free to use my cell phone # and give a call... Heck, I'm even good for midnight runs to Vons over on Ashlan for milk.

Kondor, Glad you marketed the greatest prop driven attack boomer ever built. It looks like too many people are comparing The KMP A-1H to the a/c at the Goleta museum. AD-6 (A-1H) to an AD-4NA. That a/c flew in my squadron (VC-35) in the 50s. Neither here nor there.
I was glad to see the model is available primed without the paint job. I would like to detail it as an AD-4N in gloss sea blue of the 50's. The car doors are no problem. They can be card stock or plastic as they stand proud of the fuselage surface. Maybe I'll come up with a detail kit for a 4n conversion. LOL. Thanks for marketing and excellent model of my favorite plane. I've got a brand new SP 120 dying for a home.

this will be my first gas plane , I noticed you did not use the black plastic air valve that goes over the carb control , is that ok ??? I simply do not know , not judgeing , just asking . I hate to cut a hole in the cowl if its not needed .

RE: KMP NEW A1 Skyraider - pics
well good news is she flew great, just enough power with the rcv120sp, bad news is the engine died on my second pass, found the header pipe came apart, its just brazed together and the vibration caused it to crack, caused engine to die, only damage besides scratches to bottom was the gear doors got ripped off, i am gona just glue them in place and slot them for the gear legs, also the gear didnt want to come down, not sure if it was the wind resistance or the air leaking out, will have to check that too,, sorry i didnt call ya tom, its a weekday and i figured you would be working, I am planning on trying again on saturday hopefully there isnt a club race or something that day, anyways just wanted to give an update.

Hello there,
Just started building my Skyraider. This is one nice looking plane....just ran into a problem.
They give you a template to drill 4mm holes into the fuse and the horizontal stab for the locating pins....How do I know what the incidence of this stab should be, and
what do you use as the reference for this measurement ?.
Thanks,
Trevor.
