Default Removing K&B Epoxy from fiberglass?????????

Question!! What are you guys using to remove K&B Epoxy (I'm pretty sure that is what it is) from a fiberglass fuse. I am in the process of rebuilding an old never flown Byron Staggerwing. I have tried three types of paint remover (aerosol can type from an automotive paint store) and nothing is touching it???

There is a new set of wings with that came with it so I'm building them instead of using the painted ones, so it is just the fuse I'm looking to remove the paint on.

Anybody have any ideas on this?? Thanks for your time!

Sand Paper!!! I have never found anything that would strip K&B SuperPoxy. If you did find something, it would probably destroy the fiberglass.

Have fun.
That is still the best paint ever made for modelers.

Try an automative shop they make a paint remover for fiberglass .... try it on a scrap peice first to make sure it doesn't soften the fiberglass

I am assuming that the fiberglass parts are made with polyester resin. You may be hard pressed to find anything that will remove the epoxy coating without effecting the fiberglass part. Sanding may be your only option.

Well guy's thanks for your help! very much appreciated
from my experience and what I have read here and the other thread (thanks Oosik) looks like it's going to get sanded, it's definitely epoxy for sure - very hard paint and I have used what others have offered with the same results. the razor blade deal would be tough to do on this fuse because it has molded in stringers and fabric droop on the back portion, but we'll give it all a try I'm sure.

Now, I did use a fiberglass paint stripper in the spray can to remove paint on a Byron A4 I have, but it must have been paint from a spray bomb because it came right off with no damage at all to the polyester fuse. but not this one!

I'll post some pics of the results when I get to that part, thanks again.
