Hi Graham,
The stencils are really bringing the LA-7 to life!!! They look awesome!!! Great job on the nose art….
30 days and counting the race is on..... Is your Moki a 250?? Have you had a chance to CG yours yet?? You have to be getting pretty close to a test flight??? What else do you need to do to get her flight ready???
Greg

Hi Greg,
yes cheers she is starting to come to life now, and not that much more to do, 2.4 radio set up to go in and a handful of small jobs to do.
Moki 250 for power and she will FLY like a rocket.
Some pics from today at Highlands House, myself and Arron were invited to put a small static show on for British Armed Forces & Veterans Day , so this was a good chance to get her siting on her feet for the first time.
Some shots with Annie in the back ground.
Cheers Graham B

Great pics there Graham
It has been a glorious weekend hasn't it. I have to say the first picture drew my attention to the bikes to start with.
Wishing I was on the road I suppose
The LA7 certainly stands out in silver I have to say [sm=shades_smile.gif]

Hi Nigel,
Yes the weather was rather nice over the weekend, and yesterday was very humid, I thought you might like the Bikes in the back ground!!!!.
I can't wait to get some good photos with a good camera,as my little snap shot does not really pic it all up that well.
Nigel, I will give you a call ,as you can see in the pics that I need some more masks for the rudder!!!.
Hi Texan,
Thanks for the comps on the La, I do have some more airbrush work to do on the weathering, just to bring her to life a bit more.
Cheers Graham B.

Hi Guys,
After seeing a Moki 215 in action last weekend , I have the radial bug ! My research into the motor also lead me to this thread and I have to say that I quite like the looks of the La-7 . Not your everyday warbird !
I'm thinking that the smaller version of the La-7 and a Moki 150 might be the ticket . Does anyone have any comments on this ? I haven't seen any mention of any completions of the smaller one on the web.
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Greg,
I think Graham has gone into hybernation so i will answer as i can!!
Th LA7 is nearly done, before the Cosford event he was fitting it out, and was hoping to test fly there but it did not happen, im sure the test flight will be very soon,
I love the photos of your LA7, very clever, makes the photos look aged!! did Steve and you get to fly anymore after Top Gun at anymore events?
All the best,

Hi Graham,
I thought that someone must have done something on a thread with the smaller LA7, they are such a nice looking aircraft, and im sure the attention to detail is the same on the smaller one?
We all enjoyed the weekend, shame about the drenching on Sunday, but what else do you expect from an British summer!!!

North Weald sounds good, we realy need somewhere to fly our big toys from, as for Hop Farm, well we have only got to book in? i keep leaving it too late, i just missed the cut off for the B.M.F.A Nationals again!!

I have installed my inner gear doors with the mechanism Johann sent over and I'm planning to fly next week to check it all out....
Yes, my Moki 250 did arrive.... I keep it under my pillow!!!! LOL It looks awesome to say the least, I can’t wait to fire her up.. I'm planning the conversion soon!!! I want to have it in and ready for Monster Planes in October here in Lake Whales, FL...
I'm curious on your CG with the 250 and what size prop your using??? Have you put any instruments in the cockpit??
Greg

Hi Greg,
I'm just getting the 2.4 installed in the La, so not sure on the balance as yet, but she will be fine, this is going to be some machine with the Moki in her, your going to love her even more.
The prop is a 3 blade Menz 30/16 and we are also using the electric pump,so she is going to go like a bullet.
Did you get the Baffel from Johann!! another must for the cooling.
Regarding the Moki engines, Dougie,Stuart Makays right hand man has just put a posting up on Scott's thread on the Radial, so the best thing you can do is photo copy and revise every thing he has said, Stuart and Dougie have had the most hours on these great engines.

Hi Mark,
You Know you want to, Biggie is a must and not for much more really, they are such great planes, you will not regret it.
Dave, do you think the two cats will be ready for next year???
Cheers Graham B

Di n Dave,
That is a sweet looking Tigercat!!! Your a building machine..... If I was to get a twin, I would have to wait for Johann and the new P-38!!! You have to love a composite plane for us with less time and two small kids running around..... LOL
