Default Need spruce

I'm looking for some 5/16" x 1/2" x 48" spruce for use as the main spar in the starboard wing on my 190. I got my last batch at a hobby shop but they no longer can get any[:@][:@][:@] Nobody seems to sell it anymore.

Anybody know where I can get some???? I've looked at Midwest, Sig, Balsa USA etc with no luck.

Dave

My have to use Bass wood[:@]

Dave, I get spruce spars from http://www.aircraftspruce.com/ They custom cut my 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. X 5 ft. spars. Check with them. I used to rip my own, but for only 30$ more than it would have cost me to buy the aspen pine from Menard's and cut it myself, I got 24 custom cut to order aircraft grade smooth spruce. The $30 was definitely worth my time.

Guys, another great source is SIG. I get all of my spruce from them. A 1/4x1/2x48 stick is $2.09. They have many other sizes as well, take a look.
