So back on subject , anyone building a new esm as we speak ??
I am about to start my corsiar over the holidays , I have everything I need , even picked up the robart 1/5 scale retract tail wheel unit , I know its slightly bigger but I dont care I can make it work
I am throwing togethre an simple littel eflight AT-6 for stress release and the funny part is that most of the stock bolts dont fit
I so glas I have an arsenal of parts and screws ect , I used my own oout of my supply box . So much for stress release , so anyway started glassing the Fw190 wings , while waiting for them to dry , I started this littel At-6 , then hopefully by next week I start the corsair !!! I doing a full interior may try to get the canopy to slide under air or servo power

I am doing an ESM SPITFIRE.... actually getting it mostly fit together for a friend for X-MAS present from his wife and I...
He has been my wingman for over 12 yrs now.... So she's buying him the SPITFIRE and engine... I am paying for the retracts...
He gets to finish the final assembly... I will see how far I can get it done between now and X-MAS ...

Tom2Bell, I'm sorry to see that but glad to also see the guys at ESM will take care of you. That's one of the reasons why I do business with them. No run-around, just present your case with proof and they respond. Likethe old saying goes, "better late than never".Hope you have a great Christmas anyway.

Sorry to see your damage.....It starts like Christmas knowing that the Brown Truck is on the way, and then you open the box and see this. Good luck on the next one and always....Happy Holidays.

tom2bell,
Sorry to see that happen dude. As RC enthusiast (Toy Tinkering Fools) we always have some other projects we can work on to bide our time. Did you buy your P-47 from TOMAS? Does he want you to ship the damaged fuse back to him or do you just trash it?

You must train your delivery drivers to STOP when making a delivery,
WELL, Hello from the grid locked UK,( cos we have just had our first snow, fallabout an inch, honest!!! took me over an hour to get home, and i live 6mile from work!!!)
We have just had out first delivery of the LA7, and Swordfish, LOVE to show you pictures, but, unless one of the guys has done this, then maybe next time, both models are sold out, they went from container, to delivery wagon

i am sure we will get some pictures to Thomas, fingers crossed,
and Mr CC if the mods dont like us mentioning about things that forum members have asked US for, i am sure they will mention it
hope you and yours have a nice christmas break,

Alanc...I was crushed!! When you said you just got the first shipment of the Swordfish my heart went into OVERDRIVE! I am on the waiting list for delivery here in the US [ projected for Feb or March] and have been champing at the bit for any actual information and pictures you guys in the UK could provide, since I knew you would get yours first. Boy was I itching to click the link to your pictures when I read a little further that you didn't know how to post them. I just learned last night how to do it myself [ posted Stuka Canons on KMP Stuka thread]. I almost cried not to see the Swordfish on your post. OK, I will never grow up when it comes to waiting for a new RC plane to be delivered to mydoor. Everytime I order one it's like waiting for Santa to show up in a Browntruck. Well, congradulations to the lucky guys in the UK who got theirs before Christmas. It would be agreat present if one of them could post their assembly thread for us. Enjoyyour first snow. We have been flying with ski's here inWest Virginia for some time now. Great fun.Seasons greetings and have a Happy New Year to you all in the UK. Tony.

If you dont have the regular way of posting pics let me give you an easy option .
1)get your cell phone take a pic with that
2)send the pic to you email from your cell phoneif you dont have your email in your address book , add it before you start this process
3)onece it shows up as an email , simply right click , the option of "save to pictures comes up"
4)simply click on "save to picture and it will be saved .
5) go to RCU , start or answer a post , you can see the option for attachments , click on it and go to your pictures , the plane pics will be there and can easily be added to the post
follow these steps and you cant go wrong , nothing fancy needed

Alanc or Tomas, could you give me a little help here? I have a choice of a Christmas present frommy wife. I want to orderan engin for the Fairy Swordfish I am expecting in Feb or March. Problem is I don't know what will fit or fly theSwordfish.I'm thinking a GAS engin 50 or 55cc. Rear or Side Carb?? any brand suggestions, will she take a Radial engin?
ANYADVICEWOULDHELP. I need to tell her SOMTHING soon but I don't want to have her order the wrong thing. Do you know what size engins the guys in the UK will be flying her with? ALANC, did you get to see theSPEC's on the box before they all shipped out??Is the wing span still going to be 85.5 inches? Do you know how much the plane weights? Please help me with whatever information you have so I can make the right choice.

I had the same problem as tom2bell. Crushed fuselage on my ESM Stuka. UPS crushed the whole box and the fuse and canopy did not make it. Amazingly the wings and other parts did. I had bought from TBM in this case because I really didn't know of Tomas at the time. The problem with getting a replacement is that the next container of Stuka's it not supposed to be in until February 2010. So I have to wait for a replacement. TBM had me ship the fuse back to them via UPS return in order for them to get an insurance credit. TBM says they will stand behind this and make it right. I will be watching carefully. The parts I did get look really good. This should be a good model. Leo

WHAT THE HELL DOES UPS STAND FOR??? ure planes squashed??? [:@] heads would roll if that happened over here to us, i hope TBM take them to task, if they remove items, on a delivery run, surely it makes sense to re-stack??? this damage looks like a heavy package, wrongly stacked, has fallen on the lightweight one, damned careless!!!!

I know two UPS guys , they are worked to death and its all about speed , not quality of delivery , dont misunderstand me , there goal is quality and delivery , but they fear performance based on packages ect delivered .
During this tim of year there going into the 8:30 pm hours on regular routes ect , my two buddies are good guys but they will tell you "its a punt and run delivery "
get it out , get it off the truck and run !!!

for those who want to know, the swordfish cowl diam is 9" , fuzz has a rebate 2.5 deep, cowl is 4"wide, so, in effect, you have 6.5 inches, to prop driver,
La5 diam is 9.5inches, depth of La5 is about 8.5inches
