Okay guys,
Here are a couple of pix, had to extend fwd nose gear door to line up better, will paint today and then I can install the engine.
Waiting to hear from Callie graphics about the decals, also working on the lower main door closure, first one hung up on wheel, hoping this one works better

Larry,

I never could get the inner main gear doors to work right by the mechanical method. Let me know how this works.

Boyd.

Well Alright Alright Alright. Glad to see you back on that T-28. Did you paint the landing gear, if so what kind of paint did you use? Take care my friend and keep your mask on. Chic

Chic,
Painted the gear with Rustoleum white.
Boyd, my first cage was too high on the wheel which caused it to lock up, just shortened that portion to 5/8" from 1" plus, will epoxy it in today and hope it works before moving on to other side.

Bob,
Thanks for the info.

So after much angsting and hand wringing I got the lower gear doors to close and open using the cages, doors now sit flush to wing.
I will touch up the paint tomorrow, hope I have enough left

Long time since my last post. Good to see you still at it redtail, and IKahn4, the T-28 is looking great! I like that panel. I have never seen L/G indicator lights on a model. With FPV, you can monitor the panel in flight. That is a cool idea. Don't worry about masor, he is tied up with one of my birds at the moment. Last time the T-28 was out, it really flew solid. It was just my landing that created more work for maser. Maybe he should put a rubber shock absorbing collapsible main gear with a spring loaded upper wing panel so I don't drive the gear out of the top of the wing again, if he ever lets me fly it again. Looking forward to seeing your bird fly.

Thanks for the kudos, still waiting for the rest of Decals from Callie. Supposed to get the proofs in another 2 - 3 weeks.....
Temps this week hovering between 103 and 109 which means the garage workshop will be in the mid to hi 90's
Maser needs another project, he seems to have some time on his hands LOL
Will post a few pix this week with whatever decals I have already affixed.

Don't let Warbirdrcer fly your planes. Actually he is a very proficient flyer. My T-28 had a tendency to drop the right wing just before landing. We decided it needed more speed when we landed it.

I've got so many projects going I'm not sure which one I'll do next. Warbirdrcer keeps me busy with some the updates on his planes.

Can't wait for the rest of the Decals so I can finally button up the T28 and get it ready to break in the engine

If you look at the MAIN SHOCK STRUT one, I did it in a size that I could see, if you look to the right you will see the reduced size for the struts

Ikahn4, The plane is looking great! Amazing how the stencils do make a difference to the added scale detail of your plane. I can't wait to see a video of the flight.

Default Kevlar Tank Photo

Tanks are made by Raiko. You can have him build a tank with a specific dimension. They are made out of kevlar.

https://www.raikodzigns.com/index.html

Kevlar tank attached to platform with caulk that can be taken out of fuselage for repair.

Plans call for two tank sitting side by side. I had this one made to get rid of the two tank system

Another view of installation
